About
I’m a translator, editor and proofreader from Germany, and I’m experienced with technical texts from different areas (learn more below) and works of fiction. I studied translation in Cologne until 2002 (degree: Diplom-Übersetzerin ≈ MA Translation) and have been working as a freelancer ever since.
Since 2021, I’ve been focusing on book translations, mainly cosy crime novels, suspense and family novels. See my “My Book Projects” below.
I live in the countryside near Cologne, Germany, and I love roaming the nearby woods with my two dogs and going on camping trips. I like it green and minimalist, and my biggest dream is a tiny house.

My Book Projects
My first literary translations were a couple of wonderful cosy crime novels by USA Today bestselling author Molly Fitz, which I completed in 2021/22. The series is called “Pet Whisperer P.I.” and is about a young lady detective who can talk to animals and solves mysteries together with her cat.
In 2021/22, I translated the fascinating debut novel of US author Claire Amarti, “The Silent Daughter”. It was released in German in June 2022, entitled “Schweigende Töchter”. My translations of Claire’s second and third book were published in autumn/winter 2022, the family dramas “The First Wife’s Secret“ and “After She Left” (“Die Geheimnisse der Schwestern” and “Nachdem sie ging”).
In 2022, I was also honoured to translate the first two books of a truly magical series by British author Jeannie Wycherley. Her Wonky Inn books (in German: “Das Hexengasthaus”) are about a lovely young witch called Alfhild Daemonne. In 2023, my copy editor and I switched roles for this series, for reasons or time constraints on my side, so I edit the translations of this series now. Book number four will be published in autumn this year.
Last year I started translating a series by UK/US author Alison Golden, a USA Today bestselling author as well. The “Inspector Graham” mysteries are a traditional British detective series, set on the beautiful island of Jersey. I’ll be working on the fifth book of this series soon…
