Hi! I’m a literary translator and editor, and I can help you publish your books in German.

About

I studied translation in Cologne, Germany (my degree: “Diplom-Übersetzerin” ≈ MA Translation) and have been working as a freelance translator and editor for over twenty years now.

For a long time I was specialising in medical and marketing texts, but a few years ago, I ventured into literary translation and I’ve never looked back. I love immersing myself in exciting stories and recreating them in my mother tongue!

I live in the countryside near Cologne and I love taking my two dogs for long walks and going on camping trips. My biggest dream is a tiny house and to write an own novel one day.

Translation & Text Services

Editing & Proofreading

I can polish up your German texts, so they’ll have a nice text flow and provide an all around pleasant reading experience.

Copy editing always includes basic checks regarding spelling, grammar, punctuation and, if required, formatting.

But above all, I focus on suitable style, coherence (logically connected sentences and paragraphs) and consistency and clarity throughout the entire book.

I can also do the final proof of your book before it goes into publication, that is, add the finishing touches and eliminate any remaining errors.

EN‑DE Translations

Over the last few years, I have translated over one million words from English into German. I'm passionate about creating flawless, compelling translations that are true to the original and read like an original. Most of my clients are independent/ self-publishing authors.

I work with great attention to all the little details and stylistic means that make a novel unique and that AI will never see and deliver. Because in the end translation is about what’s behind the words, and I’m all about telling a great story that your audience will love.

I can provide you with a publication-ready German version of your book, in collaboration with a professional editor I've been working with for many years.
